Oak Harbor

The Deception Pass Bridge bridge connecting Whidbey Island to Fidalgo Island in the U.S. state of Washington

Oak Harbor is most often known for it’s historic Deception Pass Bridge and the Whidbey Island Naval Station. The Deception Pass Bridge which has been a National Historic Monument since 1982 is one of the scenic wonders of the world. Spanning two passes, Deception Pass and Canoe Pass the bridge seems to hang in mid air between the rocky hills. Just over the bridge you will find Deception Pass State Park with a span of 4,100 Acres there is plenty of room for the hiking trails, camping, fishing and beaches the delight visitors and locals alike.

Beyond the well known bridge and the Naval Station Oak Harbor offers charms all it’s own. Originally named after the many Oak trees that line it’s streets Oak Harbor welcomes you to enjoy scenific vistas, art galleries, play houses, fine cuisine and maritime culture.
